Central Oregon's People to People Ambassador Delegations

nStreams, LLC is one of the many Central Oregon businesses who are proud sponsors of our People to People Ambassador Delegations. We have created these Sponsorship Donation pages for you to have an easy means of sponsoring your chosen Delegate or contributing to the PTPICO Scholarship Fund for People to People Ambassadors.

People to People Student Ambassador Programs provide international educational opportunities for grade school, junior high school, and high school students. Our journeys combine hands-on cultural experiences; behind-the-scenes access to fascinating people and places; and amazing outdoor adventures to create life-changing educational experiences.

Fund Raising

Fund raising is a means of finding resources to help you earn or collect money to pay for some or all of your program tuition. By planning ahead, being creative and exploring your own great ideas, you can achieve your goals. Consider working with other delegation members to raise funds for your program tuition and get to know each other better!

Go to Funding Your Education for more information about:

  • Sponsorships
  • Resources
  • Unique ideas

You can also download:

  • Planning worksheets
  • Sponsorship letters
  • Sample résumé
  • People to People program flyers
  • People to People logos and usage guidelines

Sponsorships focus on asking individuals or organizations for money. Potential sponsors include large and small businesses, corporations, and local civic and service organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, or Jaycees. Also consider individuals such as family members, friends, neighbors, and people you see regularly, including your coach, youth group leader, doctor, dentist, barber or hair stylist.

Athletes, please stay current with the fund-raising guidelines of all local, state and national sports governing bodies. If you have any questions, please contact those respective governing bodies.

Creating a Sponsorship Plan

Before you begin, ask yourself why people should help sponsor you on this program. If you can explain to others what makes you and People to People unique, you might be able to motivate potential givers. Knowing yourself and the history of your program can create a personal sense of investment in your activity.

  • Organize your thoughts. Use the planning worksheet. Gather information on your specific destination, why you are going, your goals, what you hope to gain from the experience, personal information on your interests, accomplishments and activities. You’ll use this information to personalize your sponsorship letter and resumé. It will also help you during your presentation.

  • Create a financial statement. Make a list of all your expenses including tuition, airfare and spending money. Then list the amount you wish to receive from each sponsor and how many sponsors you will need to meet that goal.

  • Make a contact list. Use the sponsor worksheets to list potential people, companies, and/or organizations you plan on contacting.

  • Do something for your sponsor. How about a postcard or a presentation?

Fundraising resources

This section is all about additional resources that can aid with your fund-raising goals, but it is not comprehensive. Excellent resources may be available to you locally.

Talk with clubs and organizations in your community who raise funds on a regular basis. Your school band or choir may be the experts in your area. They may be willing to share some tips and shortcuts with you or point you to local resources that will help your efforts.
