My Experience as a Leader:

I have been teaching for 18 years. Before moving to Bend in 2001, I taught reading and language arts. I am currently substitute teaching in the Bend School District at the middle/high school level. I also stay busy as a home tutor. Last summer, I chaperoned a high school Japanese class to Japan for three weeks.

My Travel Experience:

I have traveled with People to People for 3 years: twice to Australia and once to Europe (France, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain). Besides Japan, I have also journeyed to Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and throughout the U.S. including Canada.

My Hobbies and Interests:

I very much enjoy traveling and outdoor recreation including: kayaking, hiking, swimming, snorkeling, and biking. I also love cooking, reading, photography, and hanging out with my family (including my ferret- Roxanne, my two dogs- London and Maui, and my cat- Whiskey) and friends. I practice yoga and a healthy life-style.

My Favorite People to People Moment:

There are so many, but watching the excitement on the delegates faces while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef is priceless.
